Gussys ABC Book is a unique board book illustrated by Chloe Bodur when she was 9 years old. Chloes Daddy, Gus Bodur has been an ice cream man for many years and the character is based on him. Chloe originally did the drawings for her little Brother Oliver Bodur when he was 2. Mummy and Daddy thought they were so sweet and they decided to publish them when Chloe was 10. The books are in the shape and colours of Daddys ice cream van and Chloe had her first book signing with Borders in London when she was 11 years old. They said it was one of the most popular events they had ever had for an unknown illustrator.

The illustrations are so lovely and little children relate to them immediately as they were drawn by a child. The interaction brings Gussys ABC Book to life and we are really happy with it. The great thing is, this is a Family project and Oliver, who is now 6 years old has done the narration.

Gus is dyslexic and left school being unable to read and write, as unfortunately, it was not recognised in his school. Gus said that when the pages are in different colours, it really makes the words clearer. Gussys ABC Book has a different colour page for each letter and we hope the beautiful illustrations and narration help lots of children on their way to learning their Alphabet and that they also have some fun along the way with the interaction.
